Lies and Friends

When Duckie and I were growing up, Duckie's friends were always much more amiable and polite to Mama Lai than my own.  Looking back, I think it was really because my friends tended to more shy and introverted than Duckie's circle of friends.  But at the time, Mama Lai saw it like this:

"Your friends always seem to be afraid or suspicious of me.  I know why!  You have been telling bad things, lies, about me to your friends."
